Hey all! This is my first SMBX episode (beta 4 required :>). A 7 levels mini-world, with various features from the Super Mario Galaxy series. Enjoy!

I started this project in January 2019, made some levels and posted it in the Projects forum. It was originally intended to be a quite long episode with over 90 levels, but I would have never finished that. I got some team members to work with but my workflow was a mess. I stopped working on the project for a long time, then my computer broke. Can't say I'm proud of when this was a project, it's really awkward to read that old project thread lol.

But last month, with my new computer, I was able to do SMBX again. I didn't really want to make any more levels for this, because I have improved a lot my design since then. Though I really enjoyed starting off this project, and I didn't want to throw away my work, so I decided to pick up the best levels I made for this and do some edits on them, as well as creating a new storyline (I feel very proud of this along with the characters and dialogues), hub and boss fight. (a not-so-amazing Bowser battle, I'm not the best at bosses lol)

I hope you guys enjoy. Again, most of this project was made in January/February 2019, and I used to make very cramped levels back then, but, they are still decent I guess.

Most levels have purple/red coins challenge. If you collect all of them, you get the star ending which unlocks next galaxy. If you don't, you get a '?' circle ending instead, which doesn't really do anything.

Plot:

Everyone was celebrating Peach's birthday at the castle. She received a giant power star for her collection as a gift from Mario and Luigi. It was a lot of times bigger than every star out there. The Toads would also decorate the entire castle with a ton of shine sprites and starbits by the evening! Everything was nice and joyful until a loud noise was heard. It was Bowser again, flying over Mushroom Kingdom with his Clown Car, and aiming to steal Peach's birthday gift. After some seconds of silence, and nobody having a clue what to do, 7 stars from the castle were attracted to the Clown Car, including the biggest one. Not to mention the shine sprites for the castle were absorved by the Clown Car as well. After stealing these shiny elements, Bowser goes up to outer space. There's only one way for Mario to save the power stars. As fast as he can, he goes up to the tower of the winged cap, and with some help from said item, he tries to chase the Clown Car. He reaches the bottom of the vehicle right before the winged cap disappears, and once Bowser notices his presence, he loses control of the vehicle, which causes it to crash into a meteorite. Bowser has lost his Clown Car now, but luckily for him, the crash headed to his Burning Galaxy, and the biggest star, as well as the star shrines, went into the same direction, too. The starbits and small power stars scattered in 6 different galaxies, and Mario fell on the moon. But he's not completely alone here, you will figure out what he has found when you play.

(The storyline says you need to get back the starbits, but you don't really need to collect them all to beat the episode. Also, when you play, the starbit icon at the bottom right will not only count starbits, but red coins and purple coins, too).

Well, like 95% of the episode is made by me, the 5% left is the Candy Mountain Galaxy, which was originally made by ThePieSkyHigh. It's actually his level called Candy Mountain, with lots of edits by me.
Custom graphics are from the old community GFX pack and PROX's pack.
The library for the SMG HUD and stuff was made by PixelPest.

So that means you were already around back when I started it?
