Overrated Video Games / Games that you don't like while everyone else likes

I would say: FNAF, undertale, hello neightbor, bendy and the ink machine and little nightmares.
The funny thing is that I KNOW how to EXACTLY PREDICT WICH GAMES MAY BECOME OVERRATED! It is simple; first, see if the game is played by many youtubers, if it is, it have A LOT OF CHANCE to have a gain of popularity. Now, theory videos pon the ``game`` should start to spreads on youtube, it alway start slooooooowly... In most of these cases, a fandom should start appearing, with few fan videos and fanarts, then, the fandom is growing, bigger and larger, with MORE theories and MORE videos and MORE fanarts, mostly when the game uthor ENTERTAIN it fandom with teasers, sequels or DLC's, and you can start to see wrong things, like bad theories that doesn't make any sens or worst: PORN FANARTS! Then the popularity EXPLODE (if it wasn't already done), and BOOM: the game is now everywhere, you cannot escape it, unless you unplug your computer or machinally delete ALL video suggestions about the ``new cancer``. But even there, people can still TALK about it. I am doing the suggestion mass erasing most of the time, but even then, a morron used my Ipad and I got tons of undertale shit. -_-

I don't believe people should just blindly follow in a franchise, then the developers wouldn't make as high-quality games.

Even though it's one of my personal favorites, I will concede that peoples excitement for it got waaaaaay too high.

Is it a good game? Yeah. Is it the best game in the past decade? That's stretching it.

Here are the games that in my opinion are overrated.

Mario Kart 64 (it is good but it is definitely is far from the best)
All those indie horror games (Like FNAF or Bendy and the Ink Machine, their awful fanbases make them out to be better than they actually and feel the need to make terrible songs about them)
Undertale and Hello Neighbour (same reason as the above)

bumping this thread to say a game i've been meaning to say for awhile, but i think Sonic 2 is an overrated game aswell, i would write another essay about every issue i have with this game, but this guy went into alot of detail about the problems with the game that almost every single thing they said i agree with from the timestamp 11:50 - 28:42:

Let's mention fortnite before someone else does. It is good, but so many people seem to view as the best thing in existence, but it isn't if we are going to be honest (though may be that is because I don't have an intertest in FPS or Battle Royale games in general).

I think that's quite an overstatement. People can say that about pretty much any game. Fortnite isn't an inherently bad game

Edit: I didn't mention it before but I think Megaman 2 is overrated as hell just like Sonic 2
(my personal favourites are Megaman 5 and Sonic 3, even if I never figured how to complete the Carnival Night Zone)
