Old Story (TBY)
Mario was having a race with Yoshi, when suddenly Boom Boom flew down. He had knowledge of Yoshi's baby that was still in the hatching process. Boom Boom invaded Yoshi's home, before the heroes could stop him. He kidnapped the egg and took off. From recent news, Boom Boom and made his own empire and following, to compete with Bowser. This lead to a war, which left BOWSER in ruins. He now works for Boom Boom. Mario decides to go on a journey, through a new land where Boom Boom resides, to take back the baby yoshi. Little does he know... it could hatch and very likely side with Boom Boom!

As you may have seen, I have redid the project. It's now my project that I've been trying to do for a long time!
Any help would be appreciated!
I really need level help, as I'm not the best at making levels.
In the meantime, judge this screen if you will.

I'm stuck, I'm good at making good looking levels, but they'll be short. Unless I can have help from Level Designers, expect the rare long level and the common medium to short level

Interesting plot I wonder who may be here last boss. I can not really imagine final stage with boom-boom. Maybe Bowser will try to kill us, if he works for boom-boom. I am seriously curious.

Thing is I have these options;
Boom Boom, but majorly modified as an NPC or maybe he uses a big machine, IDK.
Bowser, like maybe then takes over and decides to finish Mario using Boom Boom's resources. Maybe an extra hidden world, which takes place after Boom Boom is defeated by Bowser
Or maybe a Yoshi boss to symbolized how the baby Yoshi has been turned to Boom Boom's side. Might make for a real surprise, IDK.
Definitely deleting this reply/editing once I figure out, just so it doesn't spoil the chosen option.
Thanks for the feedback though! I've had around the same plot, just execution has been a struggle.

Currently In-Progress.
In my opinion is a huge step-up from 1-1.
This is 1-2, a jungle themed level, which is going to have a straight forward Section 1, a vertical 'rise' (as in jumping up to the top of something in an only vertically modified section.) for Section 2, a Pipe Maze for Section 3 and a half Straight Forward and half cave/hint at next level.
This means 1-3 is going to be an underground level!

I like the the GFXs used in the project.
Are you going to use custom GFXs in the map? Because you probably should use map GFXs that match the style of the levels.

Thanks for the replies, just finished 1-2. Took a while, it's got a pretty rookie pipe maze, but that's going to be a "wait until the next one" kind of puzzle.
I will fix up the stage after getting the basics of 1-3
BTW:
1-1 Grassy Adventure
1-2 Jungle Journey
1-3 Cavernous Course
If I release an early Alpha/Beta, these will be the names of the levels
Afternoon Air, if I don't remove it; is the really early 1-2.
If you have any level suggestions for W1 levels 4-8 or more, feel free to suggest them
BTW, Sonic Music being used; very much not Mario, but; it's got good tracks (SCD and SU)

Most beta screen you'll ever see of 1-3!
Just want a judgement on the atmosphere before I continue with this trope on this level!
That's me for now, no dev on that level for quite a few hours! I'll check this topic often though!

Currently undet two names TBY and Super Mario Endurance until I figure out the final plot!

I'm going to start afresh, with a new project. For Sonic Pace fans, it's still going... slowly. I'm just going to start with a new idea. (The 1-1 screen above this post is still to be used in the restart.)
